Haiti Fundraising Concert
Sun 14th March 6.30pmSix Westcountry bands will be playing a gig here at Southville to raise money for victims of the Haiti earthquake. Christian groups including BOSH, Brother John and Haydon Spenceley will line up for a massive night of live music. Come and enjoy the noise!!!

Edge Extreme 4th & 5th July
Edge Extreme is a great weekend for all young people to get involved in. There is a Garden makeover happening at Christopher House, 93 Preston Road from 10am on July 4th, followed a graffitii contest and a live free concert with Soulcry and the headlining act Oposium at 7pm.Sunday night 6:30pm at Southville we have youth baptism service and special appearance of Edge Youth band and guest speaker, Tim Lee from wildlife:youth in Norwich..

Baptismal Service
On the 11th April at 3:00pm we will be having an open air Baptismal Service in the Quedam Shopping Centre in Yeovil.The event will include live music, drama, and testimony from the candidates.
Last year hundreds of passer’s by stopped to witness this extraordinary event.
Please come and support this great outreach to our town.
Gathering
THE GATHERING 09 ANOTHER LEVEL is an event aimed at young people aged 13 to 25 years.The event will include creative arts workshop’s, leaders seminars, deeper study and massive worship events.
THE GATHERING will take place at Telford International Centre between the 13th and 15th of March 2009.

ALPHA
Our Alpha Course in 2009 will take place at Ilchester . Our new Course leaders are Rob and Claire Beadnell.The course will take place at: Talltrees Community Centre, 4 Taranto Hill, Ilchester, Yeovil.
The course will run between the 30th January and 27th March 2009 for a period of nine Friday evenings.
As you can imagine, we are very excited about taking Alpha off the church premises into new unchartered territory.

Mark Greenwood BOOT CAMP
In November we had Mark Greenwood come and visit us to talk about evangelism.Mark will be returning to us again on January 20th & 27th and February 3rd & 10th to conduct a BOOT CAMP for evangelism training at Southville.
This will be preparation for a week of evangelism that will be held between 13th & 17th May.
We will therefore look to close our housegroup’s during these dates in order for the whole church to benefit from Mark’s dynamic approach to winning the lost.
Men’s Chinese night
Following on from the success of our Men’s Curry night & Men’s Bowling night we are hosting a Men’s Chinese night.The event is evangelistic as well as social so please bring some of your mates with you.
